Adequate Maintenance

If you are unemployed and cannot meet the financial requirement of £18600 per year, you may still qualify by providing evidence of adequate maintenance.

If you are in receipt of one or more of the following you may meet the financial requirement through adequate maintenance:

  • Disability Living Allowance

  • Severe Disablement Allowance

  • Industrial Injury Disablement Benefit

  • Attendance Allowance

  • Carer’s Allowance

  • Personal Independence Payment

  • Armed Forces Independence Payment or Guaranteed Income Payment under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme

  • Constant Attendance Allowance, Mobility Supplement or War Disablement Pension under the War Pensions Scheme

If you are in receipt of one of the above allowances or benefits you can provide evidence of adequate maintenance instead of meeting the income threshold.
